Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced readiness to discuss all current issues related to the security field with his British counterpart Ben Wells.
The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement today, carried by Sputnik agency, that Shoigu sent a message today to his British counterpart, during which he affirmed his readiness to discuss all current security issues.
The statement said that, based on the principles of reciprocity, Shoigu proposed holding talks in Moscow at any time convenient for Wales.
The statement indicated that Shoigu stressed that the resumption of contacts in the spirit of goodwill between Russia and Britain would help reduce tensions in Europe.
Wells announced last Monday that he had invited Shoigu to visit London in the coming weeks.
