Vaccination center for children opened on Tölzer Marktstraße

Bad Tölz - In the former premises of the Sparkasse on Tölzer Marktstraße, parents can now have their children aged five to eleven vaccinated against Corona with Biontech.
On Wednesday (January 19) the children's vaccination center on the Tölzer Marktstraße went into operation.
In the rooms of the Sparkasse Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, which have been empty since July 2019, children aged five to eleven are now being vaccinated every Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

"Child infestation" or "death injection" has been the name of the game in the recent past, as Maximilian Pfandl explained at the inauguration of the facility.
"We have already experienced a shitstorm in the last few days," emphasized the head of the vaccination centers and the children's vaccination room in the Tölz district.
In his eyes, a lot of negative arguments were also put forward by the press.
However, the hostilities did not affect him personally.
On the other hand, there is just as much positive feedback and a lot of willingness to vaccinate.
"The parents who absolutely want their children vaccinated have already done so," said Pfandl.
In any case, from now on everyone who wants to be vaccinated at Tölzer Marktstraße 34 can have the Biontech vaccine injected.
Tölzer children's vaccination room: Registration via the parents' account
According to Pfandl, two vaccinators and medical staff are always there on the respective days.
Parents can register their children in advance on their own account at www.impfzentren.bayern.
Then it is possible to come to the children’s vaccination room without making an appointment in advance.
All you have to bring with you is your vaccination card and an ID document.

For a relaxed atmosphere when vaccinating, the former Sparkasse rooms have also been set up to be child-friendly.
The right side consists of several cabins, three for vaccination and two for registration, as well as an emergency cabin.

The cabins are decorated with small stickers of giraffes, monkeys and elephants.
And in front of the registration area there is a small play corner.
"That's a different feeling for children," said Pfandl.
After the vaccination, the brave little ones also get toys that they can choose for themselves.
Only the Biontech vaccine is vaccinated.
"So far, this is the only one approved for children," explains Pfandl.
Vaccination doctors are also available for a chat in front of the syringe.
“If someone is still unsure, we would be happy to advise you,” explained the vaccinator Klaus Fiedler.
In any case, the vaccine will not run out for the time being, it is sufficiently available.
