The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) confirmed tonight (Friday-Saturday) that Brian Lundry admitted to murdering his fiancée Gabi Patito, before ending his life.

Lundry wrote his confession in a notebook, which investigators located near the place where his body was found.

After Lundry's body was found and before law enforcement officially announced that it was indeed Patito's partner, it was reported that a notebook and "several other personal items" of Lundry were found near his body.

The FBI statement said the notebook "included letters written by Mr. Lundry in which he claimed responsibility for Mrs. Patito's death."

The tragic affair began with the couple's Coast to Coast vacation, in which they traveled across the United States in a commercial vehicle. Patito's relatives said they were in touch with her until the end of August, when she and Lundry visited Grand Teton National Park. ) In the northwestern state of Wyoming, not far from Yellowstone National Park.

The photogenic journey came to an end on September 1, when Lowry returned to his family home alone in the van in which the two were traveling.

Laundry did not report where Patito and her family, who were unable to contact her, contacted the FBI, who declared her missing.

Police investigators tried to dub Landori, but he was silent on the advice of his lawyer and disappeared on Saturday, when the family reported his disappearance just three days later.

After several weeks in which there was no record of their trip on the nets, Patito's body was found in a national park near the last place the two were seen with severe signs of violence on her.

Although the case was declared murder, Lundry was not suspected of her murder but his disappearance from the scene and his absence from the public eye immediately afterwards for about a whole month made people wonder if he had murdered her.
