Homs-Sana
The Homs youth boxing team won 4 bronze medals during its participation in the Republic Championship that was held in Damascus recently.
The bronze came from Ali Hussein (51 kg), Hydra Ammar (54 kg), Muhammad Khair Shehab (75 kg), and Yousha Shahoud (80 kg).
Head of the Technical Committee for Boxing, Musa Al-Sharif, in his statement to the SANA sports reporter, explained that the Homs team participated with seven players, while the rest of the teams participated in thirteen players, pointing out that the poor results of the Homs team had several reasons, including the players’ failure to attend training and their continuous interruptions due to exams, in addition to Lack of interest in the game by clubs, which leads to the reluctance of most distinguished talents from playing it.
