The serious accident last Monday evening in Olching was also an issue in the main committee.
Olching – As Mayor Andreas Magg (SPD) announced, the police have clearly established that the children are solely to blame in this case.
Without looking, they walked across the road at the Ferdinandstraße bus stop and were hit by a car.
The two eleven-year-olds were seriously injured. Nevertheless, the city wants to react to make the place (Feursstrasse/corner of Ferdinandstrasse) safer for passers-by. Demands for this come from different factions. The Greens recently announced that only 30 km/h should be driven here and not just for a limited time. They also called for crossing aids for additional safety. "It's frightening that serious accidents still have to happen before changes can be initiated," said parliamentary group leader Ingrid Jaschke.
According to Magg, there will be no zebra crossing.
This has already been rejected by the traffic authorities and weighs the pedestrians in false security.
But a traffic light should be set up, as already announced.
That is currently being checked.
Warning signs have also been put up.
