The detectives placed their hopes above all on the statements of two drivers who, independently of one another, saw a person along the B 388 federal road between Grünbach and Kreuthäusl on the night of the disappearance.
Also from Großhündlbach came a reference to a person who might have been the Walperskirchener.
And in the Rappoltskirchen area, a resident claims to have heard noises at night that could have been human screams.

On Friday, the police deployed six cadaver dogs.
For several hours they roamed through two forest areas near Kreuthäusl on the left and right of the B 388. The search was made more difficult by the snow that had fallen during the night.
Mentrailer dogs had searched a large area between Aurlfing and Helling on Sunday after the man's clothing had been found in this area - ten and twelve kilometers from the place of residence.
A police helicopter and drones were also used at the time.
The place where it was found shows that the man must have walked a very long distance disoriented.
