The theatrical show Cinderella and her sisters, written and directed by Majd Younes Ahmed, concluded the activities of the Children's Theater Festival in Lattakia, which accompanied the children throughout the mid- holiday with performances by specialized teams on the stage of Dar Al-Assad for Culture in Lattakia.
The show presented by Mada Arts Association of the Artists Syndicate branch and the Friends of Theater Association comes within a project that Ahmed is working on by reproducing old tales to suit the child of today, in order to instill and strengthen a set of values for him such as perseverance, seriousness and patience to achieve his dreams using characters beloved by children.
Younes pointed out the importance of the heroes of the tales being positive personalities with qualities that contribute to shaping the child’s awareness by focusing on that achieving hopes and dreams comes through perseverance, hard work, diligence and patience, noting the importance of presenting all of this in a manner far from directness and preaching through theater elements that are able to combine play and play Imagination and information.
The Child Festival comes, according to Younes, to provide what Syrian playwrights working in the children's theater sector seek to present an integrated work bearing educational and educational values presented by specialized teams from the National Theater and the Artists Syndicate.
