Corona incidence in Rhineland-Palatinate still at a high

The seven-day incidence in Rhineland-Palatinate has peaked for the seventh day in a row.
On Saturday, the state investigation office identified 634.7 infections per 100,000 inhabitants in one week.
On Friday it was 623.7.
Mainz – The state’s health authorities recorded 2402 new infections within one day (as of 11:10 a.m.).
According to the information, a corona infection has currently been detected in 56,145 people in Rhineland-Palatinate - so many have never been infected at the same time.
At the peak of the second wave in late December 2020, the maximum was 20,460.

The hospitalization incidence, which has hardly changed in the past few weeks - hospital admissions per week per 100,000 inhabitants - is now significantly higher.
That reading rose to 5.17 on Saturday from 4.96 on Friday.
This is the highest value since regular recording by the state health department in September 2021. The number of reported deaths from Covid 19 patients remained unchanged at 4767.
The highest seven-day incidence was on Saturday in the state capital Mainz with 1090.6.
This was followed by the city of Kaiserslautern (1034.5), the district of Bad Kreuznach (955.5) and the district of Kaiserslautern (882.2).
The lowest incidence was 285.2 in the Südliche Weinstrasse district.
