The new DSDS season starts without Dieter Bohlen.

In 2022, Florian Silbereisen, Ilse DeLange and Toby Gad will sit on the jury.

Cologne - On January 22nd the time has finally come.

DSDS starts the next season in 2022. And for the first time without Dieter Bohlen behind the jury panel.

After 18 years, the typical Bohlen sayings are over.

Florian Silbereisen replaces Dieter Bohlen on the DSDS jury

But who are the three newcomers? The biggest name among them, who is following in Bohlen's footsteps, so to speak, is Schlager star Florian Silbereisen. Most viewers should know him well, after all he is not only a permanent guest in various TV productions and presents hit programs, but also acts as the captain of the "Dream Ship". Quite apart from the fact that many people will probably remember him well because of his long-term relationship with hit star Helene Fischer.

At the beginning of the casting filming in Wernigerode in July 2018, Florian Silbereisen explained in a short advance clip: "I'm looking forward to DSDS because the new concept will make it even more exciting than before.

For me, DSDS is already a very special and great adventure.

I am really looking forward to my colleagues on the jury.

I don't know either of them personally, I only know that they have had great success so far.

I'm really looking forward to the first meeting.

I hope that we will then find a new superstar together.” Before his DSDS start, Silbereisen was quite nervous.

Ilse DeLange sang at the ESC and danced at "Let's Dance"

The two "new colleagues" mentioned by Silbereisen are called Toby Gad and Ilse DeLange and are also no strangers to the music industry. Ilse DeLange is a Dutch singer who has long been a household name in Holland, especially in the country scene. In Germany, she became known to a wider audience, among other things, through her appearance at the "Eurovision Song Contest" 2014. She appeared there along with Waylon as "The Common Linnets".

In 2021, Ilse DeLange was also seen on the RTL dance show "Let's Dance".

However, she had to leave the competition early due to a foot injury.

The 44-year-old wrote on Instagram about her DSDS role: "I'm incredibly happy that I can be part of the new DSDS season.

New jury, new talents and as the most important main ingredient... music!

I'm really looking forward to getting to know Florian and Toby very well soon!

Let's go!"

Toby Gad wrote world hits for Beyoncé and John Legend

The third juror named Toby Gad is probably the least known of the trio for most viewers. The 53-year-old is a music producer from Munich. He has lived in America since 2000 and has written a number of songs that are far better known than Toby Gad's name itself: Beyoncé's "If I Were A Boy" and John Legend's "All Of Me" are from his pen. Toby Gad also wrote Fergie's hit song "Big Girls Don't Cry."

He said about his TV job behind the DSDS desk to RTL: "I can't wait to start.

It has always been my dream to sit on the jury myself."

He also emphasized that the authenticity of artists is particularly important to him.

Honesty, constructive criticism and humor have top priority.

The new DSDS juror Toby Gad has revealed details from his past – he was at the bottom in the meantime.
