Many shelves in the Holzkirchner Hagebaumarkt are already empty.
Preparations for demolition are clearly underway.
The building committee has now dealt with the approval of the new building.
Holzkirchen – A bakery is no longer included in the drafts for the new Hagebaumarkt in the Holzkirchen industrial park.
This was explained by Holzkirchen's mayor Christoph Schmid (CSU) in the building committee.
He immediately gave the reason: "Because we wanted it that way." As reported, the Hagebau market in the Holzkirchner industrial area East is to be demolished and rebuilt.
The building committee unanimously approved the application for a building permit and thus paved the way for the new building – subject to approval by the district office.
5500 square meters of retail space
The committee had previously approved the change to the development plan, also unanimously. This had already been initiated in 2013 and again in 2015, but failed at the time due to objections from the government of Upper Bavaria. The reason for this was the government's view that the sales area had to be reduced. With the 5,500 square meters of retail space now planned, divided between construction and garden centers, the new building could come soon. "It's quick to build," said Schmid.
According to the decision, the new hardware store may no longer offer a marginal range.
This means, for example, groceries that are often found in the checkout area and are not part of the core business.
Only ten square meters "for a few displays at the checkout" are possible, explained Doris Hötzendorfer from the building authority.
What is explosive is that the municipal no to the bakery shop served as the reason for the dismissal that Sultan Cifci received.
Cifci runs the snack bar, which is currently located on Industriestraße in front of Hagebaumarkt.
Her lease was terminated at the end of May this year.
Parking spaces planned above ground
On behalf of the Greens group, Robert Wiechmann expressed his regret that in view of the parking spaces planned above ground and the land consumption that goes with it, it can be seen that "land is too cheap". Nevertheless, it is "a good story" that the new building is coming. Albert Kraml (CSU) was surprised that 30 bicycle parking spaces were built. "I've seen few who come by bike." Hötzendorfer emphasized that according to the municipal statutes, more parking spaces would have been necessary. "We already went down there."
Michael Wohlschläger (CSU) wanted to know what was planned during the transition period.
There is a rumor that a tent will be set up to sell the bare essentials there.
Schmid confirmed the rumor, but qualified it: "We have not received any application." The operator of the market was not able to comment on this on Friday.
The company plans to comment next week.
