According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake hit the city of Onalaska, in the state, at a depth of three kilometers, with no reports yet on injuries or material damage.
An earthquake of magnitude 6.8 struck the US state of Alaska on the 11th of this month, without causing any human or material damage.
