Bad Heilbrunn – New district fire chief at the fire brigade: Christoph Goßlau is responsible for the Bad Heilbrunn and Wackersberg area.
The official handover to the new District Fire Chief Christoph Goßlau took place in Bad Heilbrunn.
Goßlau follows Georg Lettner - the long-standing district fire chief for the area has reached the age limit.
In this position within the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen District Fire Inspectorate, Lettner had managed and supported the skills and operations of the fire brigades in the communities of Bad Heilbrunn and Wackersberg since 1998.
"Through his professional activity at the state fire brigade school in Geretsried, he was able to draw on an enormous amount of specialist knowledge," said Stefan Kießkalt, press spokesman for the inspection, in recognition of the comrades who have now left.
The District Fire Inspectorate also thanks Lettner on behalf of the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen for “his outstanding performance”.
Praise for predecessor Lettner
District Fire Councilor Erich Zengerle paid tribute to Lettner's commitment and "excellent work" - be it in operations, purchases or new buildings.
Lettner also mastered difficult situations "with calmness and expertise".
Georg Lettner also instructed his successor in detail about the tasks and the office.
Christoph Goßlau has been the deputy commander of the Bad Heilbrunn fire brigade since 2010 and works as an equipment manager for the fire brigade in the neighboring town of Penzberg - this means that the active person has the advantage of a short journey to the operations, even during the day.
