A police officer was killed Friday night and another seriously injured after responding to a domestic incident in Harlem, New York.
The suspect also died in the exchange of bullets, another agent told the AP who said he was not authorized to speak publicly.
This is the third time in four days that New York Police officers have faced shooting on the job

The anonymous agent explained that a call was received shortly before 5:00 pm local time, from a mother who needed help with her son.
Three officers responded to the scene at the 135th Street apartment.

They spoke with the mother in a room located in the front of the residence and then two officers walked to another room located in the rear of the residence, where the son was, and that is
where the shooting began.
The officer who died was 22 years old and had been on the job since November 2020, while the injured officer is 27 and has been employed for the past four years.

Police audio captured a portion of the chaotic scene, including one of the officers calling for help who was unharmed informing the dispatcher that the two officers had been shot. Police recovered from the scene a Glock pistol with a modified 40-round magazine, reported stolen in Baltimore in 2017. New York authorities are investigating how the assailant obtained the gun.
The entire deadly incident was captured on video by officers' body cameras, according to a senior police official.
