Starting next week, the test outline for children up to the age of 18 will come into effect, which will ensure them and their parents a study routine without isolation.

The parents, whose children are suffering from the last wave of disorder in the education system and the isolation continuum, are waiting impatiently.

"We are in the third round of isolation at home almost in a row," said Gal, a resident of Sharon and a parent of two boys studying in kindergarten.

"Why tomorrow the boys who are negative in tests can not go back to kindergarten already? Why should another week of this rush continue, just because they have not been able to find kindergarteners and assistants?", He wondered.

"At least you can see the light of the tunnel, because we could not continue to stand it. It seems that the harm to the economy and the economy was more important to the government than the harm to the children."

On the other hand, some parents are afraid to send their children back to frontal studies in the absence of isolation policies, and believe that students' parents will not meet the bi-weekly test guidelines: "People send verified children to kindergartens and classrooms, endangering the health of other children and teachers," , Mother of a boy in kindergarten and two girls in elementary school.

"70% will cheat on home tests, people do not take responsibility. The government is simply abandoning its citizens. Do they want everyone to be sick?"

How will the outline work?

  • All children aged 18-0 - vaccinated and unvaccinated - will undergo two tests a week, on Sunday and Wednesday.

Parents will need to sign a confirmation in the morning that they have indeed had a test for their children, that it came out negative and that they are not experiencing any symptoms.

  • If the children show symptoms - they will go into isolation, according to the usual isolation scheme.

  • If the parents refuse to perform the test, their children will have to stay in isolation.

What happens if the test comes out positive?

  • Immunized children who came out positive on the test will remain in isolation for five days, from which they will be able to come out by presenting two negative home antigen tests, which will be done on the fourth and fifth day of isolation, provided they have no symptoms.

  • Unvaccinated children will also remain in isolation for five days, and will be able to get out of it on the fifth evening, with the approval of a doctor and the presentation of an institutional antigen test - without the option of a home test.

  • Recoverers who have been infected with corona for the second time will not be required to have a doctor’s approval in favor of release from isolation.

How are the Ministry of Education organized?

To enable the implementation of the program, the Ministry of Education has announced an operation to distribute home antigen tests to students and education staff.

As part of the campaign, starting today, all kindergarten and elementary school students will receive a set of 20 tests that they will be asked to take home.

Priority in distribution is given to kindergarten children for special education.

After them will receive the assessments of regular kindergarten children followed by elementary school students.

The members of the educational staff at these institutions will receive ten tests each, including daycare staff and assistants.

In the next phase of the operation, kits will be distributed to middle and high school students.

The number of tests to be divided into this age group will be smaller, and all three students will share a set of 20 tests.
