The district of Starnberg has waived a new general decree on "walks" every Monday in several places.
However, the police will accompany the unannounced events intensively, the district office said.
District – “Compliance with the rules of the right of assembly and protection against infection are requirements for safe and democratic assemblies. Registering a meeting is the simplest basic rule for planned meetings that must be observed,” said District Administrator Stefan Frey. The police will therefore try to identify organizers and pay close attention to compliance with distances and other infection control measures. A larger police operation is therefore to be expected again. Frey is concerned with protection against infection and compliance with the right of assembly. Registered meetings can always take place, the registration serves to arrange security and order and to comply with the rules. "No more and no less," said the governor. According to new judgments in Bavaria, a ban would be legally possibleif there were serious incidents beforehand - but these are not known from the district. That is different in Munich, for example. mm
