Seven people were killed and nine others were injured as a result of a car bomb explosion today in Herat province, western Afghanistan.
The Afghan Tolo News channel quoted the local authorities as saying, "The explosion took place in the 12th security zone in the provincial city of Herat, killing 7 people, including 4 women, and wounding 9 others.
And the local authorities opened an investigation to uncover the circumstances of the accident.
