Boko Haram, affiliated with the terrorist organization (ISIS), has kidnapped 17 girls from Chibok district in Borno state, northeastern Nigeria.
The Associated Press quoted local sources as saying today that "Boko Haram militants attacked the village of Bimi in the Chibok region and kidnapped 17 girls, eight of whom belong to the same family," noting that some of the girls are between 10 and 12 years old.
The sources indicated that many residents of the neighboring villages fled to the bush and other villages, fearing that the "Boko Haram" movement would launch a similar attack on their villages.
On the 3rd of this month, police in Zamfara state, northwest Nigeria, freed 21 schoolchildren kidnapped by the group's terrorists on New Year's Eve.
