Germering – Even before the Christmas holidays, the love of reading in class 4d at the Kleinfeldschule had paid off.
Since the autumn holidays, the 24 children in the class have been motivating each other so that their class can win the next reading competition. Since the beginning of the school year, the children have been allowed to color in the spine of a book on their reading pass for every day on which they read at least ten minutes. After 20 colored book spines, they glue a large book spine on the class reading shelf made out of paper. Before every holiday, the big “spine count” is announced. The class that collects the most book spines on their reading shelves wins the challenge cup. The children of class 4d were looking forward to the decisive day and in the morning the last spines of the books could be glued on.
At the start of the well-deserved Christmas holidays, the students in class 4d won the challenge cup of the reading competition among all fourth classes.
The class representatives of the previous winning class 4a handed over the golden trophy to the proud class representatives Greta and Vincent.
Pauli, the 4d class mascot, was also happy about the success of his class and has now found a new favorite seat in the classroom.
He can spend his school day in it until the next holidays and continue to encourage the children to read.
There are a few weeks until the carnival holidays to continue reading diligently until the next winner is chosen.
