Today (23rd) at about 11 am, a 24-year-old man surnamed Liao was hiking on Sai Wan Road in Sai Kung with a friend. During the trip, when they reached Sai Wan Road near the blowpipe pass, Liao suddenly fainted. Seeing this, his friend called the police for help.
The Government Flying Service was called to the scene, rescued the male victim and sent him to the Eastern District Hospital for emergency treatment, but unfortunately he died in the end.
Police classified the case as death on admission, and the cause of death is to be determined after an autopsy.
