A 37-year-old was hit in the head by a pallet weighing 300 kilos in an industrial accident in a warehouse of a logistics company in Ohmstraße Unterschleißheim on Friday and was seriously injured.

– The police describe the serious industrial accident on Friday, January 21, 2022, around 3:10 p.m.: A 45-year-old Munich man was working with an electric forklift in a warehouse of a logistics company on Ohmstrasse in Unterschleißheim.
He transported several pallets loaded with cardboard boxes on a gallery.
In the further work step, a colleague was supposed to lift these pallets down from the gallery five meters higher with a forklift.

According to the police, when the 45-year-old driver of the electric forklift truck was transporting another Euro pallet loaded with cardboard boxes in the direction of the gallery, he bumped into another parked pallet, which fell five meters down into the warehouse.
This hit a 37-year-old colleague on the head who had just stepped into the area below the gallery.
The man was seriously injured and treated by an ambulance at the scene.

The seriously injured man was taken to the hospital by helicopter.

The recording of the industrial accident and the first investigations into suspected
negligent bodily harm were carried out by the traffic police.
In particular, an expert was consulted as part of the recording.
