A series of earthquakes struck since last night until noon today south of Lake Tiberias on the border between Jordan and occupied Palestine.
The Ammon News Agency quoted the director of the Jordanian seismological observatory, engineer Ghassan Sweidan, as saying that an earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale today struck at noon south of Lake Tiberias and was felt by residents of northern Jordan.
Suwaidan pointed out that 10 aftershocks, ranging in intensity from 2.9 to 2.9 on the Richter scale, were detected south of Lake Tiberias over the past hours.
