Mujawarat al-Adab is a literary term that includes (adventure tales, puzzles, police novels, illustrated and serial stories) transferred to Arabic by critic Dr. Wael Barakat during his translation of a book entitled (Introduction to Mujawarat al-Adab).
The author of the book, the French researcher Daniel Quinias, wonders in his introduction whether these neighborhoods enter the door of study and criticism in the recognized official literature or remain outside its borders. And consumer literature and marginal and other terms.
The author refers to the entry of new genres into literary neighborhoods such as science fiction novels, works of fantasy, horror, cowboys, animation, scenarios for films and series, and forms of theater such as horror theatre, police theatre, folk songs, and adventure cinema.
The chapters of the book discuss the textual identity of this type, i.e. the title, cover, and what is related to the writer and others, in addition to studying these types as a phenomenon and analyzing them, analyzing what is real and what is imaginary in them, studying narration and dialogue, classifying characters and events, and analyzing and studying them.
The book, issued within the national translation project of the Syrian General Book Organization, is located in 240 large pages.
Its author, Daniel Quinias, is a university lecturer in comparative literature at the University of Nantes in France, specializing in the field of animation in the Literary Neighborhood Analysis magazine, and runs two magazines in this regard.
The translator Barakat holds a doctorate in literature from France and works as a professor at the University of Damascus. He is a member of the Arab Writers Union. Among his works is an introduction to critical curricula and concepts in the structure of the text.
