Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit announced about a month ago that Deri had signed a plea deal and would be charged with two tax offenses.
Under the agreement, Deri will resign from the Knesset and will be fined NIS 180,000.
Therefore, Mandelblit explained, he would not demand that he be dishonored, and thus be able to re-serve in the next Knesset.
