E-mobility needs a better infrastructure.
But who should build it?

The city of Miesbach wants to support e-mobility with two charging stations.
The city will contribute to the construction costs.
But that is the task of the energy suppliers.
A comment from Merkur editor Dieter Dorby.
Regardless of whether e-mobility can stop climate change or not, the fact is that the number of e-cars is growing.
And consequently, it is necessary to build the necessary infrastructure so that the vehicles can be charged.

Charging stations for e-cars at Habererplatz are becoming concrete: is Miesbach now going into the electricity business?
The installation of charging stations certainly offers opportunities for the city.
Some people may prefer Miesbach as a shopping town, because here they can park for free while they go shopping or eating out.
But it is also clear that the city can offer space for the expansion of charging station density – but paying for the stations is not its core task.
This applies all the more to the sale of electricity, which brings new job costs to the town hall rather than profits.
The suppliers who also earn their money with the electricity are required for the charging stations.
