Pang Tai, a resident upstairs of the unit that caught fire, said that she moved into a unit on the 16th floor of Xinxing Garden in July last year. Once, a TV remote control was accidentally dropped on the floor, and the resident of the downstairs unit hit the ceiling with a hard object to show dissatisfaction.
She contacted the deceased woman afterwards, saying that her son was particularly sensitive to voices. Since then, the family of five has been careful to avoid anything accidentally falling to the ground.
She said that she had encountered the male deceased many times, and found that he rarely communicated with the neighbors and was a loner.
The police blocked the platform of the male deceased's body for investigation.
