Today, the Russian Coordination Center, in cooperation with Daraa Governorate, distributed food aid to the neediest families within the city of Daraa, in parallel with the opening of a medical point to provide free consultations and treatment.
Russian Admiral Gorviev Alek, head of the Russian Coordination Center, said in a statement to reporters that the center distributed symbolic and in-kind humanitarian aid to citizens with special needs and the most needy, which is 500 food rations in parallel with its contribution to setting up a medical point within the building of Daraa City Council to provide free consultations and treatments.
In turn, a member of the Executive Office of the Daraa Provincial Council and the relief sector official, Dr. Abdullah Al-Falah, said in a similar statement that this symbolic aid expresses the depth of the Syrian-Russian relations and is a continuation of the aid that was provided in previous periods, indicating that the medical services within the new point were allocated to chronic disease sufferers.
For his part, the head of Daraa City Council, Eng. Amin Al-Omari, pointed out that Russian friends constantly provide symbolic and food aid to the neediest families, indicating that the medical point includes an Echo device and a medical staff consisting of three doctors in radiology, general surgery and orthopedics to provide treatment, diagnosis and necessary medicines for patients.
A number of people expressed their thanks and appreciation for the assistance provided by the Russian government and people, noting Russia's supportive stances for countries and their just causes.
