The police in the district punished around 30 fake vaccination cards in 2021 - comparatively little.

In 2021, according to preliminary figures, the police headquarters in its entire area of ​​responsibility - nine districts and the city of Rosenheim - punished around 500 counterfeit vaccination cards, around 30 of them in the Miesbach district, said press spokesman Stefan Sonntag when asked.

"A rather small proportion." However, the number of unreported cases is probably high.

The crime statistics, which will be presented soon, will provide exact figures.

However, they will not change much in the basic trend.

Most counterfeits in the district were reported in pharmacies, says Sonntag.

People would have tried to get vaccination certificates with false documents.

In the district and in the entire area of ​​​​responsibility, the counterfeits would have picked up from the beginning of October 2021, says Sunday.

The peak was the week at the end of October when the police punished a total of 90 cases.

Violations have become rarer since mid-December.

Vaccination card fakes distributed at events are not known from the district.

There are also “considerable” investigations in the entire Presidium area against people who falsify vaccination certificates to a large extent for others, but not in the district.

In most cases, people would have gotten their fakes from the Internet or via social media.

This year, says Sonntag, the trend towards fewer fake vaccination cards is continuing.

According to preliminary figures, the police have so far punished seven forged corona documents in January.

In the entire area of ​​​​responsibility there were 45. "Also a not particularly conspicuous proportion."
