In the context of contacts for a plea deal by Likud chairman Benjamin Netanyahu, internal clashes at the top of the party are intensifying. Will work to form a government already in this Knesset.

Regev yesterday demanded that Katz publicly declare that he does not hold contacts with right-wing members of the coalition, and especially with Likud retirees Gideon Saar and Ze'ev Elkin, today members of Tikva Hadasha.

In response, Katz sent a message to activists this morning claiming it was "Pike News, malicious rumors and ugly slander."

Katz wrote that he "clearly emphasizes that I am not negotiating with anyone in the coalition regarding the formation of a government - because it makes no sense at this stage", but added that "if and when Netanyahu decides to leave, which is a completely personal decision, I will be very sorry The circumstances that led to this and then I will act in accordance with the Likud constitution to be elected within our Likud center as the temporary chairman of the Likud and quickly form a government headed by the Likud in the current Knesset. "

Katz stressed that he would not commit to Likud armor in exchange for supporting the formation of a government headed by him, following a decision made earlier this year at the Likud Center that bans anyone who left the party from running on its behalf for eight years.

Regev responded to Katz in a Facebook post in which she accused him of undermining the Likud and Netanyahu: "Benjamin Netanyahu, who was repeatedly elected by an overwhelming majority and is the only one who is supposed to conduct such and such contacts.

No one has given you the mandate to speak on behalf of the Likud."

She said, "We have stopped being innocent and suckers. We are a party with a backbone and an ideology that is above a position or a chair. And we must all be united around Netanyahu and work together to overthrow this dangerous government."

Netanyahu's contacts with the State Attorney's Office for a plea bargain provoked battles in the Likud, and both Katz and Regev stated that they intend to run for chairman after Netanyahu's era. As interim chairman of the Likud Center and forming a government in the current Knesset even before the primaries are held, while Nir Barkat, Yuli Edelstein and other candidates prefer that the Likud Center chairman, Haim Katz, serve as interim chairman until elections are held.

MK David Bitan, who is close to Katz and expressed support for his election as the next Likud chairman, said in an interview in 103 on Thursday that he "is capable of forming a Likud-led government within 90 days" and that "there are already contacts and talks" between him and political parties. The current government will be formed by a Likud-led government in the current Knesset.
