The seven-day incidence in Hamburg is rising and rising: According to the Robert Koch Institute, the Hanseatic city is now the federal state with the highest corona incidence.

The health authority gave the number of reported infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Sunday as 1852.6.

This is the highest value ever measured.

On Saturday it was 1767.2, compared to 942.5 a week ago.

Hamburg – Based on a different calculation method, the RKI gave a seven-day incidence of 1552.9 for Hamburg on Sunday.

Hamburg is the federal state with the highest incidence, ahead of Berlin (1483.8) and Bremen (1256.7).

The RKI gave a value of 806.8 for all of Germany.

Nationwide, 85,4401 new cases were added.

According to the health authority, a total of 2520 new cases were added in Hamburg.

On Saturday there were 5764, on Sunday a week ago 894 new cases were reported.

According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the number of people who have died from or in connection with Corona since the beginning of the pandemic has increased by 7 to 2075.

The health authority gave the total number of Covid 19 patients in the Hanseatic city’s clinics as of Friday at 460 – 10 more than the day before.

73 received intensive care, 8 more than the day before.

According to the RKI, the Hamburg hospitalization incidence, i.e. the number of corona patients admitted to hospitals per 100,000 residents and week, fell from 4.91 to 4.64 (as of Friday).

Nationwide, it rose from 3.56 on Thursday to 3.77 on Friday.

If limit values 3, 6 and 9 are exceeded, the federal states can impose stricter measures to combat the pandemic.

According to the RKI, 80.7 percent of Hamburg residents have been vaccinated at least once as of Saturday.

Accordingly, 78.7 percent have complete basic protection with the second syringe that is usually necessary.

47.8 percent of Hanseatic residents have received a booster vaccination so far.
