From January 24, more than a thousand electors, ie 1009 parliamentarians and regional delegates meeting in conclave, are called upon to elect, in Rome, the thirteenth President of the Italian Republic for the next seven years.

But it will also be necessary to reckon with the 96 major voters of the “mixed” group, with indeterminate preferences and sufficient weight to tilt a majority.
