The Turkish Coast Security Directorate announced today the suspension of maritime navigation in the Bosphorus Strait due to the snow storm that swept the country.
And the Anatolia News Agency, speaking on behalf of the Turkish regime, quoted the directorate as saying in a statement that “navigation has been stopped back and forth in the Bosphorus Strait,” noting that “the visibility in the strait has decreased to less than half a nautical mile.”
The meteorologists demanded caution and caution against low visibility along the Bosphorus Strait, especially the section overlooking the Black Sea, during cruises in the strait.
Istanbul has been witnessing snowfall since last Friday evening, and its pace intensified on Saturday-Sunday night, with temperatures dropping below zero, and meteorologists warned of continued heavy snowfall during the next three days.
