Meat Loaf is dead. The singer was 74 years old and died surrounded by his family.

It is not yet clear how he died.

Donald Trump*, former President of the USA, described the late singer Meat Loaf as a “great guy”.

“He was smart, talented, open and warm.

His success was huge - we all loved him," Trump said.

Meat Loaf passed away on Friday night.

Marvin Lee Aday, Meat Loaf's real name, and Donald Trump knew each other from the TV show Celebrity Apprentice.

Meat Loaf was a contestant on the show.

The singer had also become increasingly involved with the Republicans*.

In 2012, among other things, he campaigned for the Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who, however, lost to Barack Obama.

Singer Meat Loaf died on Friday night at the age of 74 (see first report).

So far, nothing is known about the cause of death of Marvin Lee Aday, Meat Loaf's real name.

The family and the advisor are keeping a low profile.

However, a media report now suggests that a corona infection may have played a role.

The US news portal TMZ reports that Meat Loaf is said to have canceled a dinner with business partners earlier in the week because he had previously been infected.

According to the report, the singer's health is said to have deteriorated rapidly at this point.

So far, nothing is known about any corona vaccination of the musician.

Meat Loaf had repeatedly attracted attention in the past few months due to public criticism of the corona measures in the USA *.

New York – singer Meat Loaf is dead. The musician died on Thursday evening at the age of 74.

This is reported, among other things, by the US news portal Deadline – and refers to information from family circles.

The singer's agent confirmed Meat Loaf's death.

A statement on his death was also released on the singer's official Facebook page.

His wife and daughter were with him on Friday night when he died.

"It breaks our hearts to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away last night with his wife Deborah at his side," the post reads.

Marvin Lee Aday, Meat Loaf's real name, gained international fame, especially through his album "Bat out of Hell".

However, during the subsequent world tour, the rock musician ruined his voice and subsequently struggled with depression and alcohol addiction.
