The Haifa District Court today (Sunday) sentenced Muhammad Levadi of Acre to 21 years in prison and compensation of 258,000 shekels for the premeditated murder of his girlfriend Iman Ahmad Awad in 2018. Levadi, 40, a father of two daughters, left home about four years ago to live With Iman Ahmad Awad, 26, his new partner, and a few months later stabbed her to death.
Huda Ahmad, Iman's aunt told Walla!
"He planned everything. How did they make him look crazy? He planned everything. Die inside. Enough, tired of having murder every day. 20 years is not enough. A murderer needs death. Iman was simple and stunning, suffered greatly from her first husband."
As for Iman's daughter she said she is with the grandmother and every two days goes to a cemetery.
From the facts of the original indictment filed through attorney Maya Hazan - Dahan it emerged that amid a strained relationship between Lavidi and Iman and his jealousy of her, he decided to kill her.

The tragic incident took place on December 11, 2018, when around 11:00, Lavidi returned to the apartment where the two lived at 4 Herzog Street in Acre. He picked up a knife belonging to a butcher owned by his family and where he worked, which he had brought to the apartment three days earlier, went to the bedroom where Iman was staying, and while she was trying to defend himself against him he stabbed her repeatedly and slit her throat.
Immediately after the murder, Lavidi did many things in order to create a false alibi for himself and hide his involvement in her death, and even created a false representation that she is alive. He threw the murder weapon and his clothes into the trash can parked outside the building, sent text messages from the deceased Iman's cell phone to himself and her family and drove to various places. The cops did not believe him for a moment. He was arrested on the day of the incident and has been held behind bars ever since.
In October last year, a panel of judges led by Vice President Justice Diana Sela, Justice Avi Levy and Justice Eran Cotton convicted Levabidi of murder and obstruction of justice.
They mitigated his punishment and did not sentence him to life imprisonment, as in a plea deal he admitted while agreeing that he committed the murder in a mental state where "his ability to refrain from committing the act was severely limited, but not to the point of actual incapacity."
