Moscow-Sana

The Russian Embassy in London called on the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office to stop escalating rhetorical provocations around Ukraine and contribute to ensuring European security.

According to TASS, a spokesman for the embassy said today we urge London to stop its ridiculous and very dangerous verbal provocations in light of the current escalating conditions and to contribute to realistic diplomatic efforts aimed at providing solid guarantees for European security.

The Russian diplomat mocked the British Foreign Ministry's recent allegations about his country's plans to install Yevgeny Murrayev, a former deputy in the Ukrainian parliament, as president of Ukraine, pointing out that the aforementioned politician is being targeted by sanctions in Russia as a person who represents a threat to Russian national security.

He pointed out that London, which found itself on the sidelines of actual diplomatic operations as a result of its short-sighted approach, is today constantly inflaming anti-Russian strife.

And the British Foreign Office said in a statement that it had information that the Russian government was considering the possibility of nominating the former deputy in the Ukrainian parliament, Yevgeny Murrayev, to take over the role of its loyal leader in Kiev, while the Russian Foreign Ministry described this talk as nonsense and new evidence that NATO is Who is escalating tension over Ukraine?
