Freising

– Is there a musician in Freising and therefore a musician who can, without the slightest doubt, compete with the big names in the business?

Yes!

RPWL co-founder and guitarist Kalle Wallner has presented a stroke of genius with his new solo album "Voices".

Every single song burns itself in the heart and brain.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

I recommend listening to "Voices" out loud and exploring the songs, immersing yourself in them and accompanying Wallner on his musical dream journey, which is so unique that it gives you goosebumps.

Of course, Wallner primarily uses the sound of the guitar in a central role in the story line, but without presenting a cerebral Jeff Beck album.

On the contrary: Wallner formulates a perfect soundtrack between light and shadow.

Two songs are a bit out of line

It is the strong driving force of the individual songs that achieve one thing through the composition: They outline emotional worlds and thus underline the silent film world of our dreams. Sometimes spherical and barely tangible, other times centralizing and electrifying at the same time, because the song is beating between the heart chambers. The album itself is well-rounded here, also because each individual piece stands on its own, but also defines the work of art as a whole. Wallner does not give the songs any titles other than the numbering. In this way, the musician leaves room for interpretation.

If you deal with "Voices", two of the songs that are a bit out of line here have to be looked at more closely.

"Three" is probably the most unusual title, because here the singer Arno Menses enters the stage and thus surprisingly and equally refreshingly breaks through the concept instrumental album.

With the accompanying video, Wallner also brings his homeland into the musical cosmos and sets a monument to the Furtnerbräu.

Because there "Three" plays as a spooky homage in abandoned rooms and shadow-covered corners.

Eleven minutes of brilliant bouncer

The third song in room number 3, a passing musician who strikes up the melody of the night - a game between reality and unreality that works perfectly as a video clip, also because of the magical realism of the moving images.

The second extraordinary piece is the last song of the album with the number 7 and the subtitle "Out".

For more than eleven minutes, Wallner gives everything again to bring the bouncer to the point brilliantly.

Several guests do the honors on "Voices".

For his fourth solo album, which can be considered a pandemic album in the broadest and most positive sense, Wallner, who, in addition to RPWL, has also had a huge output with Blind Ego, has brought some guests on board: In addition to Arno Menses, Carmen Tannich is also present , Marco Minnemann and Yogi Lang on "Voices".

And the fans, who are not exactly small, will also get their money's worth, because the album will again be available as a vinyl pressing, but also as an elaborate CD digipack with a rich booklet.

The album "Voices" by Kalle Wallner is available on CD, vinyl and of course also in streaming and as a download.

The release date is February 25th.
