In the case of the youngest, the polluter also fled.

Moosburg

– The series of accidents in connection with the changed traffic management at the Moosburg Thalbacher-/Bahnhofstraße intersection does not stop: After a Peugeot driver gave way to a Maserati owner on Tuesday and both cars crashed together, it came on Friday to the next fender bender.

This time, however, still in connection with a brazen escape from an accident.

Priority stolen and then fled: Moosburg police are looking for SUV drivers

As reported by the police, a 21-year-old wanted to change his black Mercedes from Bahnhofstrasse straight to Thalbacher Strasse in the direction of the railway underpass at around 9.45 a.m.

At the same time, a previously unknown person was driving a dark blue or dark gray car - according to the report, probably an SUV of an unknown brand - on Thalbacher Straße heading into town and wanted to turn left towards the city center.

The driver obviously overlooked the oncoming Mercedes that had the right of way, whereupon both drivers tried to swerve.

Nevertheless, the two cars collided in the junction area.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

A larger dent and several scratches appeared on the left rear bumper of the Mercedes.

The unknown SUV should have damage to the front left front bumper.

The material damage to the Mercedes is estimated at 6,000 euros.

Its owner was waiting at the scene of the accident to be able to contact the other person involved in the accident.

According to the report, however, he drove several hundred meters further on Thalbacher Straße in the direction of the city center, stopped there, got out and examined his car.

He then continued on his journey without complying with his legal obligations.

The investigators are now hoping for information from witnesses: anyone who observed the accident or can provide information on who caused it is asked to contact the Moosburg police station, Tel. (08761) 30180.

Site inspection planned at accident black spot

The accumulation of accidents at the highly controversial and provisionally set up right of way change has meanwhile also been a topic of discussion in the city council.

Apparently, a timely site inspection by the building committee is being prepared there.

As the daily newspaper learned, this should no longer happen at the meeting this Monday.
