A suicide bomber blew himself up in a prison where Kurds are guarding Islamic State prisoners • Prisoners collected weapons and executed returning guards

At least 120 people have been killed in a combination of a terrorist attack and a prisoner uprising near the northern Syrian city of Kamishli after prisoners affiliated with the Islamic State organization revolted with the help of their outside comrades against their Kurdish captors.

77 prisoners and ISIS members have so far been killed in the uprising as well as 39 Kurdish fighters and walls who were called to jail to quell the uprising.

The uprising began after a terrorist organization suicide bomber blew himself up in a guard post outside prison.

Several members of the terrorist organization arrived at the scene in vehicles and handed out weapons to the prisoners.

A special anti-terrorism unit of the Kurdish militia was called to the scene and the fighting around the prison continues until the time of writing.

The terrorist organization claimed responsibility for the attack on the prison at its news agency "Amak" and called on the organization's fighters in Syria to come to the scene and join the fighting.

Pictures released by ISIS members show the organization's terrorists holding dozens of Kurdish prisoners.

A spokesman for the Syrian Democratic Front, the country's Kurdish umbrella organization, said 104 prisoners had been captured by the narrow forces on the jail, but the insurgents still hold several wings of the facility and have apparently executed several returning guards.

The Kurds in Syria have been holding thousands of prisoners of the terrorist organization ISIS, including foreign nationals, since the Kurds defeated the terrorist organization, with American aid, in 2017.
