The Haifa District Court today (Sunday) sentenced the "butcher from Acre" Muhammad Lavid to 21 years in prison after murdering his partner Iman Ahmad Awad three years ago.
The tragic event took place on December 11, 2018 in Acre.
At 11:00 he came to Babidi to the apartment where he lived with Iman.
He took a butcher knife that he had brought to the apartment three days before the murder, went back into sleep and began stabbing his girlfriend and finally slit her throat.
At around 2:30 PM, the woman's neighbors heard shouting from her apartment and called the police.
Paramedics and paramedics from Magen David Adom, who arrived at the scene, began resuscitation operations but were forced to determine her death.
Lavidi was arrested for questioning after the body was found.
In October last year, judges convicted Levabidi of murder and obstruction of justice.
His sentence was commuted after he signed a plea deal in which it was agreed that he had committed the acts in an unsettled state of mind.
