Having your car stolen is a shocking experience.

But if you're still in the car when you steal it, it becomes a nightmare.

Findlay (USA) – Countless cars are stolen every day in the world.

Many of them disappear never to be seen again because they are dismantled in no time and the parts are sold individually.

Thieves particularly like to grab premium brands: Porsche, Mercedes and BMW, for example.

But Audi is also very popular – a passenger sleeping in an Audi A4 felt that.

And in a dramatic way, as reported by 24auto.de.

In the US state of Ohio, a 32-year-old stole an Audi A4 – including the passenger sleeping in it.

A 17-year-old and a 19-year-old man brought their white Audi A4 to a Hyundai dealership for trade-in, police said.

The 19-year-old decided to take a nap in the car.

This obviously didn't bother a 32-year-old car thief: the man jumped into the driver's seat and sped away with the Audi - and the sleeping passenger.

A more than curious chase then began.

The 17-year-old alerted the police and continuously informed the officers about the current location of the vehicle, which she was able to track.

While the vehicle thief raced away in the Audi, the 19-year-old, who had now naturally woken up, also wrote text messages to his girlfriend – in which he not only reported his location, but also how wildly the 32-year-old was driving and threatening him.

After Findlay officers located the car in the town of Tiffin, officers took over from there.

After a wild chase, the 32-year-old ended up having an accident with the Audi – and was arrested.

The 19-year-old passenger and the thief suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The brazen vehicle thief is now in serious trouble: he has been charged with kidnapping, aggravated robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.
