In France, you should always have your vaccination card with you from the new week: without it you have no access to restaurants, culture or long-distance trains. There are few exceptions to the transition.

Drastic restrictions are coming into force in France for people who are not vaccinated against Corona.

From Monday, those who have not been vaccinated and who have not recovered will no longer have access to restaurants, bars, cultural institutions, sporting events and long-distance trains.

The reason for this is the introduction of the »pass vaccinal« (vaccination pass) in France.

This proof of recovery or vaccination must be presented in future for participation in public life.

So far, proof of a negative corona test was sufficient.

The »pass vaccinal« roughly corresponds to the 2G regulation in Germany.

Exceptions should initially apply to people who decide to have their first vaccination at short notice.

For the time being, they should continue to be able to present a negative test result.

According to a ruling by the French Constitutional Council, the restrictions on the unvaccinated may only remain in force for as long as the pandemic requires.

In France, the number of infections is currently extremely high.

Most recently, the seven-day incidence, i.e. the number of registered infections per 100,000 inhabitants within one week, was over 3300. In Germany, the comparable value is just over 800. On Saturday, almost 390,000 new infections were found in France.
