Russia's permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, announced that some progress has been made in the nuclear talks taking place in the Austrian capital Vienna between Iran and the 4+1 group.
"Iran and the 4+1 group discussed today complex and important issues on the agenda of the nuclear talks," Ulyanov said on his Twitter account, referring to the meeting of the heads of delegations of the three European countries, the United Kingdom, France and Germany, in addition to Russia, China and the Iranian delegation.
Ulyanov discussed with the head of the Iranian delegation, Ali Bagheri Kani, the developments of the talks and observations on some issues related to them.
Earlier today, the spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mahmoud Abbaszadeh Mishkini, announced that the nuclear agreement with international powers is expected to be revived within the next two months.
The eighth round of nuclear negotiations between Iran and the 4+1 group is currently underway in Vienna, with the aim of reaching an understanding to revive the nuclear agreement, from which the United States withdrew in August 2018.
