A poll released by the McLaughlin & Associates shows that the former president leads the incumbent by five percent • The rate of support for Biden has reached an unprecedented low

Former United States President Donald Trump is leading as a possible candidate in the 2024 presidential election over US President Joe Biden by a five percent margin, according to a poll conducted today (Monday) for state media.

The poll was conducted by the Institute, and predicts that the former Republican president will defeat his Democratic opponent in national results with 49 percent of the vote, compared to 44 for the incumbent president.

In addition, the poll shows that out of Trump voters, 37 percent say they will vote for Trump for sure, while only 35 percent say they will vote for Biden for sure.

However, the polling institute that conducted the survey is considered the least credible of its past predictions and has a steady and significant tendency in favor of Republican candidates.

Meanwhile, public support for Biden has reached a new low in recent weeks since he was elected president.

According to data from the University of Connecticut in Connecticut, the leader of the world's most important power has the support of 33 percent of U.S. residents versus 53 percent who oppose it, while 13 percent of residents refrain from expressing an opinion on the issue.

"A difficult start for President Biden gives him low grades on his first-year certificate," said Tim Malloy, a political commentator for the institution.

However, pollsters stressed that there is one issue on which the parties agree: "The biggest danger to the U.S. comes from within," after 76 percent of respondents said political instability was more dangerous than its opponents outside, with 19 percent in second place.
