Bad Tölz - The training compass and the U17 youth of the EC Bad Tölz present joint short films on career orientation.

What job do I want to learn?

What prospects do I have with it?

Or what training opportunities are there at all?

Questions that preoccupy adolescents and to which the training compass can give them answers.

For five years, this has been helping to make the regional training landscape transparent and bringing trainees and companies together.

With the start of the ice hockey season next autumn, the training compass is now the partner of the U17 youth of the EC Bad Tölz, who play ice hockey in the highest German youth league.

The young people now presented a short film together about the paths and possibilities of career orientation.

"You as the U17 are wonderful ambassadors, you have an impact on the outside world," says Monika Uhl from the training compass.

In addition to finding a job, the subject of the short film is also how the training compass supports young people and companies and brings them together.

"The boys first came into contact with the topic of career orientation when they were 15 and 16," explains Uhl, explaining the connection to the young ice hockey players and an apprenticeship.

"At school, it's about the first internship, a holiday job or choosing a course of study." The training compass gives an initial orientation on becoming aware of strengths and interests.

"Just as it is necessary within an ice hockey team."

District Administrator Josef Niedermaier reports via video message

In a video message, Josef Niedermaier explained the special importance of sport for personal development.

"I can tell you that sport is extremely important," emphasized the district administrator, who was on the verge of becoming a professional himself in cross-country skiing and biathlon.

Sport conveys the ability to work in a team and perseverance, which is also important in professional life.

Filming for the training compass in the RSS Arena

The short film for the training compass was shot over several days in the Tölz RSS Arena.

Likewise on the soccer field, at the Schuhplattln, running and cycling.

The film team also has a sporting background: for example, screenwriter Lena Schabert and Antonia Hoppe from the training compass team are ambitious soccer players, while Sturmi Förster is drawn to the cross-country ski run and Stefan Fuchs from the production company lumen21 plays tennis.

"You can tell from the films that their makers understand the importance of sport and stage it perfectly," says Uhl.
