Only a ruin is left of the farmhouse in Apfeldorf after the big fire last week.

Now the Beyer family, who lost everything, gratefully addresses all the helpers.

Apfeldorf

– Exactly one week ago, a major fire raged in the community of Apfeldorf.

The Beyer family lived in a former farmhouse that was converted into a residential building with a great deal of dedication and attention to detail.

In addition to the attached barn, which housed equipment for the timber industry.

Everything became a robbery of the flames last Monday.

When a friend noticed the fire and immediately called the fire brigade, it was already too late to save any belongings or personal items from the house.

They could only take outside what the spouses were wearing.

Hour after hour, Elisabeth and Roland Beyer had to watch the flames destroy everything that day.

Especially bitter for Elisabeth Beyer, who has lived there in her parents' house since she was born.

53 long and happy years.

All personal belongings turned to ashes.

All of the parents' pictures, photo albums and personal items have been destroyed.

All personal belongings fell victim to the flames - the family was left with nothing but their clothes

Despite this situation, the couple are grateful.

"Thank God we escaped with our lives," remark Elisabeth and Roland in a guest apartment where they are now staying.

And immediately add that they have received a unique helpfulness from many people.

They would like to thank all of these people.

Not exactly easy, because the means of making personal contact have been destroyed.

All the data that was on the computer or laptop is gone.

Saying "thank you" is only possible via the newspaper

So Elisabeth and Roland decided to use the newspaper to express their thanks to all the people who helped so unselfishly and spontaneously. "This thank you is deliberately expressed very personally and without naming names in order to ward off unwanted calls from outside," was the thought of the couple, who formulated the following words of thanks:

"Our heartfelt thanks go to all the fire brigades involved, especially the operations manager Christian, the rescue service with the emergency doctor, all police forces, the technical relief organization, the workers of the LEW, the excavator company Kölbl.

Of course also our "Guardian Angel Kreuzbaur Hartl" (he discovered the fire and alerted us), all neighbors, relatives and friends, the mayor of Apfeldorf and everyone who supported us in any way.

Despite the difficult hours, we are overwhelmed by the cohesion and the willingness to help that we were able to experience.”
