A prioritization of the PCR tests, new vaccine regulations and an "opening perspective" for events? All of these topics are on the agenda at today's Corona summit between the federal and state governments. Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) had announced that he would not support any tightening in Bavaria. Instead, he wants more freedom in some areas (see first report) - even though some experts warn against it.

The chief physician Clemens Wendtner of the infectiology at the Schwabing Clinic believes that restrictions are still necessary if the number of infections is high.

In addition, he advocates maintaining the regulation on regional lockdowns from a seven-day incidence of 1000. The regulation has currently been suspended by the state government.

This will be decided again at tomorrow's cabinet meeting.

Munich virologist warns of Omikron - "Anything but 'mild'"

The virologist Keppler, from the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, also sees the planned easing in the Free State as a “dangerous path”. He considers it "highly dangerous" to classify Omikron as mild. For art and culture, an adjustment of the capacity limitation from the previous 25 percent to 50 percent is conceivable in the event of a relaxation.
