WWK Volleys Herrsching started the intermediate round with a 3:2 win in Königs Wusterhausen.

Herrsching

- With a narrow but not undeserved 3:2 (25:16, 18:25, 25:27, 25:20,15:10) victory at the Netzhoppers Königs Wusterhausen, the WWK Volleys Herrsching made it into the intermediate round on Sunday started. It was the expected tight match - with the better end for the Ammersee. In the table of the intermediate round of group B, Herrschinger reduced the gap to Brandenburger to two points. After their 3-1 win against Helios Grizzlys Giesen, SVG Lüneburg is in first place with twelve points, followed by Netzhoppers with seven and Herrsching with five points. Giesen is fourth and last with zero points.

The outstanding man on the part of WWK Volleys Herrsching was Tim Peter. The captain was the most successful attacker of the game with 23 points and deservedly picked up the gold MVP medal. Jordi Ramon Ferragut was back in the starting lineup for the first time in almost three months. The Spaniard convinced in acceptance, attack and especially in service. All of his 19 serves found their way over the net. He was also very solid in assumption, all of his 34 assumptions were at least not followed by an assumption error. Herrsching's new signing Philipp Schumann was on the bench for the entire game, with Jonas Kaminski preferred on the diagonal. And it was Kaminski who was responsible for the first point of the game.

As a result, Königs Wusterhausen and Herrsching gave each other nothing.

Both teams acted quite nervously.

Even before the first technical time-out, Max Hauser received a yellow card when he complained loudly after a Netzhoppers ace (4:5).

The Herrschinger coach saw the serve on the other side of the field.

As a result, the home side took over the scepter, but the Herrschinger quickly found their way back into the game.

A strong serve series by Luke Herr at his old place of work gave the guests six points in a row (22:15).

A Netzhoppers serve error and two aces by Tim Peter – the first set was dry.

In the second round, however, the Herrschinger could not build on the performance of the previous one. The Brandenburgers got the second set quite clearly (18:25). In the third round, things went back and forth from the first rally, and the team from Herrsching immediately lost a three-point lead (15:12) (15:15). In the crunch time it was Netzhopper's Brandon Rattray who used practically every attack. Theo Timmermann finally secured the set win (25:27).

Herrsching did not give up.

Tim Peter now led the way as leader.

The captain rolled up his sleeves in the best Jalen Penrose manner and equalized with two service winners (25:20).

The momentum was now on the side of the guests.

And they couldn't be stopped on the way to winning the match.

After 118 minutes, Jonas Kaminski hammered the decisive ball into the Netzhoppers field.
