At the end of January, relatives of “lateral thinkers” met in Erlangen for the first time as part of a self-help group.

The action is very popular. 

Erlangen – What to do when your own mother is rushing against the Corona * measures, your best friend shares crude theories on social media or your partner has drifted into the world of conspiracy theories?

Many people have to watch as their family members change more and more and dive into the "lateral thinker" scene.

On Wednesday (January 26) in Erlangen*, relatives of corona deniers, conspiracy theorists and Co. will meet for the first time as part of a self-help group.

It is the first of its kind in Franconia.

More and more people now have people in their close environment who belong to the "lateral thinker" scene, get caught up in conspiracy stories about alleged vaccination damage, walk side by side with right-wing extremists at demonstrations and with whom objective discussions are no longer possible.  

In the district of Erlangen, ten desperate relatives will meet at a secret place on Wednesday under the title "VerQUERte Welt - Leben mit Conspiracies Supporters" to discuss their situation, reports

The meetings should take place every 14 days.

The first exchange of experiences between those affected came up after

The contact and information center for self-help groups (Kiss) then helped set up the self-help group.
