According to the source, the two injured and the attacker did not know each other in the incident. The motive for the suspect's murder is unknown, and it cannot be ruled out that it was a random attack.

In the incident, a 38-year-old African-American man suffered a neck injury. Although he was awake, his injuries were serious and he had to be rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital by ambulance for treatment. The police said that they received a report from a passerby at 7:45 p.m. on the 23rd, saying that a local 52-year-old man and a 38-year-old Nigerian man were arrested by a Chinese man at the junction of Da Nan Street and Guilin Street. Attacked with a sword, the attackers fled.

Officers arrived at the scene. After preliminary investigation, the case was classified as "wounding people". The case was handed over to the Sham Shui Po Police District Crime Squad for follow-up.

Police said the suspect is a Chinese man between the ages of 40 and 50, with a height of about 1.65 meters and a medium build. He was wearing a gray jacket, black top, gray trousers and white sneakers at the time of the incident.
