Shock at the State Commission of Inquiry into the Mount Meron Disaster upon receipt of the tragic news of the sudden death of the committee's chairman and the person after whom the committee is named - former Supreme Court President Justice Miriam Naor.

Naor took part in the committee's deliberations yesterday and there was no sign that this was her last day.

Tomorrow, witnesses are expected to testify at the committee, Sgt. Head of the Commissioner's Office.

This discussion as well as the discussions that follow this week will probably be canceled.

It has not yet been decided how and when the committee will continue in its position, but they will have to appoint a new chairman. Authority in this matter is vested in the Supreme Court President, Esther Hayut.
