Four people were killed and another injured in a shooting that took place near the US city of Los Angeles.

The Associated Press quoted the American police as saying today, "The police responded to reports of a house shooting in Englewood, Los Angeles, and that two women and two men were shot dead, and another man was taken to hospital in critical condition."

The police indicated that investigations are still underway to uncover the circumstances and motives of the shooting.
